Jriver is nice for play back it'll playback 96/24 rips that my dac can't handle in 4816 by using one of the dsp functions. Max doesn't work on my snow leopard Mac, I can't change the ripping preferences without Max crashing. Note By default, Apple iTunes saves all ripped songs as AAC.
